The Malfunction Indicator Light, commonly called the check engine light, informs the driver that the vehicles on board computer has detected a problem in one or more of its monitored systems. Driving a vehicle with this light on for a long period of time could cause other problems to occure. In my experiances I have found that people who have the MIL tested and repaired soon after the light stays on tend to have lower repair bills, than those who continue driving with the MIL on for a long period of time.
If this "warning" light stays on have it fixed soon !!
